It's a...(really this time)

GIRL!

You can see her little face on the left with her hands beside her cheeks.

I don't think we could have been more surprised. I have been "feeling" it was a boy this entire time, and every old wives tale pointed to a boy. I knew we had a 50/50 chance, but I was just convinced it was a boy! I'm super excited about buying all of the cute girly stuff. At the same time, though, I am completely freaked out at the thought of raising a girl! There's just so much pressure that a girl feels in this world. I'm praying now that we can raise her to know that she is treasured and beautiful just the way she is.

The part most people want to know is her name. She will be Emerson Kate Williams. Emerson is from our 3 nieces (Laine Emory, Addison, and Gracyn). They are all three sweet and spunky. I hope that Emmie will turn out to be the same.

So now the fun begins!

Beautiful name! So excited for you guys! I was nervous with both. Girls for the reason you said and boys because of puberty. Haha. Girls really do soak up love so well though. A million hugs, kisses, "I love you", "you're my princess", tickles make them feel so valued and cherished. You can just see them soaking it all up. Girls really are precious! :)

YAY! I'm so glad it's a girl! I can't tell you how fun they are! Ours is only four months and we're already having a blast with her.

PS- We call our Emily by the nickname Emmy, too. :) Usually it turns into Emmylou.
